WonderSlim 12 Week Starter-Kit

Do Calorie Shifting Diets Work?

WonderSlimMost of us find diets really exciting since they prove to be the fastest ways of knocking of our extra pounds. We get attracted to diets that claim they can help us lose 6 pounds or more in just a week. Do all of these diets actually work? Can we actually lose weight in just a week's time? And is that healthy? To answer your questions, not all diets are genuine. There are many diets that will claim to help you lose weight but some of them may not do that.

Some of them are healthy and some of them are not. So you have to be careful about which diet you decide to follow. However diets that work along the lines of the calorie shifting principle are very genuine and effective. They do help you shed your extra pounds and in a way that is not harmful to your body. The most famous of calorie shifting diets is the "fat loss 4 idiots diet". This diet proves why other diets are most unhealthy and proves to you a good scientific method of losing your excess fat.

Some of the most common diets work at reducing your calorie or food intake for an extended period of time. This helps you to begin losing weight. But more often than not, you start putting on weight even while still following the diet. The weight lost does not last long enough. This is because our bodies have been designed in such a way that if you give it a considerable amount of time, its metabolism adjusts to whatever your intake is be it less of carbohydrates, fats or proteins or just less intake of the quantity of food.

The fat burnt is proportional to the rate of metabolism. If your metabolism is fast, you will burn calories fast too. If metabolism is slow, naturally the rate of burning calories will be slow too. Lesser the food intake, slower the metabolism. Most of these diets are all about taking in fewer calories and hence lesser calories are burnt up as well. And if you go out on a binge even on one day, you will land up putting on even more weight since your metabolism will be slow and you will not be able to burn much fat.

The calorie shifting diets do not work like other diets. They have a scientific background. They understand that the rotation of eating routine is required in order to keep our metabolism high at all times. Higher the metabolism, more the calories burnt. The diet encourages the rotation of food stuff. It allows you to eat one type this week and to change it next week. So basically you eat new type of food every week. Your diet this week will not be the same as last week. This way your metabolism will be always high, thus burning out more and more calories.

Keep The Healthy Snacks Lose The Guilt

Wonder SlimSnacking performs a very important role in our lives. Some times we snack because we are bored. We eat because we are bored.

There is no reason to cut out snacking all together. Snacking is also a great way to avoid things that we do as a pick me up some days - a kind of motivation. For example, we can eat a piece of fruit instead of that cola to get some energy. The key thing to do is, to know what to eat and what not to eat. Here we will give you some snacking ideas that will help you choose what's better. It doesn't require a genius to figure it out, but you might be surprised at some of the suggestions. This might sound a bit strange, but I would suggest that you get a food dehydrator. You can get one for next to nothing and they are easy to use. I know that learning how to use something new isn't always as easy as it sounds, but believe me, these things are a snap to use.

You can dry all kinds of things in your dehydrator. The key is to cut fruits and veggies thin. The thinner it's cut, the faster they will dry. Fruits are a great thing to dry. You can dry whatever is in season that you can find. You can also dry canned items. I would suggest that you start out with a few easy things. Start out with strawberries that are easy to dry.

Not only are strawberries easy, but when they are dried, they carry a punch of sweetness that only sugar can match. The great thing is, these are sweet, but they don't have the calories of candy. You can also dry veggies as well. Are you like me, do you love the instant soup mixes they sell at the store? Well, I love them but hate all the added salt. If you dry your own veggies, you can make your own soup and you can control how much salt you add.

Here is something you might like to do as a snack. Take a handful of banana chips, strawberry chips, and about two apple chips. I take them and put them in some low fat yogurt. That makes for a snack that is good for you and you could grow to love it. You can eat the dried food plain as well. Just eat some fruit chips instead of potato chips or candy. You really can't go wrong with dried fruits. They will last a very long time if you keep them in an airtight bag or box as well.

Fish jerky, turkey jerky and beef jerky are easy to make. Making jerky will also save money so you wont have to pay over ten dollars a pound for jerky. Use what ever cut of meat that is on sale at the store for beef jerky. And you can always eat a veggie platter for a snack. Veggies are always good, but some people get bored with them. So mix dried fruits and veggies to break the boredom. A great veggie plate can be made up of any type of veggies. Suggestion; make yours with what ever is in season. Also try putting a little oil and vinegar dressing on them. Not too much, but just enough to taste. Sprinkle a little salt and pepper to taste. Squeeze half a lemon over them for an extra zing.

Make sure to keep a healthy diet and try not to snack on foods that aren't good for you. I know tons of people who have a very good diet, but their problem is that they eat all kinds of junk when they snack. This doesn't serve any purpose at all. If you must have crabs, don't do anything stupid. Don't go running for the potato chips. Instead, eat some sliced potatoes and add some seasoning to them.

The next time you feel guilty because you ate the wrong snack food, come back and read this article again. This will help you curb those hunger cravings and allow you to snack without the guilt.

Causes Of Weight Gain And Weight Loss Solutions

Wonder SlimOverweight people are becoming the norm and unfortunately this is very unhealthy. The reward for losing weight is not only a better looking body but also a body that is alert, energetic, strong and healthy. Couple this with a more positive self esteem and on the whole, the world would be a better place.

Unfortunately, people try to lose weight by crash dieting and ingesting medicines that might have nasty side effects. Many do not know why they are overweight and merely treat the symptom (weight gain), often with little or no result. Like all challenges, we should look at the cause of a problem in order to better know how to remedy it. Here then are some common causes of weight gain followed by common weight loss solutions used today.

Genetics
Obesity and weight gain tends to run in families. This is closely related to poor family eating habits as well but research has shown a genetic link.

Metabolism
Little exercise and crash diets actually slow down the metabolism. This makes weight loss even more difficult.

Crash diets
When food intake is drastically reduced, our bodies slow down metabolism in order to conserve energy. The body becomes convinced that food supply is unreliable and will start to store as much fat as possible. A person will then pick up weight, even when back onto a normal healthy diet.

Psychological
Comfort is eating is quite common. Food is often associated with reward and pleasurable feelings. In time, food becomes related to emotional addiction.

Socio-cultural factors
Due to inactivity and years of eating incorrectly, people become overweight. Diets, fast foods and quick energy fixes make a huge contribution to weight gain.

Medical Conditions
Some medical conditions result in people picking up weight. Some examples are: Hypothyroidism, Cushing’s disease, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome...

Side effects
Certain medications cause weight gain as a side effect. These include some oral contraceptives, anti-depressants, corticosteroids, lithium and anti-seizure agents.

Pregnancy
Although weight gain is normal during pregnancy, many women struggle to lose weight after giving childbirth.

Methods in use for losing weight

Drug treatment
Prescription and over the counter drugs are used to control appetite. However, many of these products contain stimulants which cause anxiety and numerous other health problems. The body ultimately suffers and lost weight often returns when use of the product is stopped.

Psychotherapy
If weight gain is linked to emotional issues, it would be better to deal with those emotions. Psychotherapy helps identify emotional triggers and to discover positive ways to deal with them.

Lifestyle change
Even though changing bad habits is difficult, it is much easier than most people think. Healthy and balanced diets, irregular exercise, a positive mental approach and a positive emotional quotient do much for a healthy body. This is a gradual process so immediate results are not expected. On the other hand, the results are very long term.

Natural Remedies
Herbal and homeopathic remedies help people lose weight in a healthy manner. They boost metabolism and stimulate the digestive system. They provide a rich source of minerals and maintain healthy metabolism. Natural ingredients assist in the breakdown of dietry fat and rid the body of harmful toxins. The result is a slimmer, energetic and healthy body. Results are noticed quickly but are very long term. The best part is that there are no harmful side effects!

Now you should try to identify exactly why you are gaining weight. Be realistic with yourself. Then decide which would be the healthiest solution for you to reach your goal weight. Remember that the body heals naturally given time (lots of time) but sometimes needs a helping hand due to the lack of nutrients in our modern diets. You should not concentrate only on losing weight but being healthy as well.

Important note
Always consult a doctor or dietician before subjecting yourself to medicinal or drastic lifestyle changes.

Why Diets Don't Work

A huge mistake that people make when trying to overcome emotional eating and lose weight is that they go on a diet. The irony is that millions of marketing dollarswonder Slim are spent telling us that a diet is exactly what we should do. The truth is, we know that diets don’t work. In many cases, diets can actually take you farther away from the things that you need to do to be successful at taking control of emotional eating and creating a healthy relationship with food.

Diets do not create long term weight loss. There is evidence that diets can actually lead to binge eating and evidence that long term dieting and yo-yo dieting actually lead to weight gain.

Among other things, diets are missing one of the most fundamental tools for taking charge of emotional overeating. In my emotional eating programs and the life coaching I do, I emphasize the importance of learning how to listen to yourself. This is an incredibly powerful tool, because, when you do it well, you are able to access the wisdom only you have about who you are and what your body needs. A diet not only doesn’t teach you that, it can really damage the listening ability you already have.

When you can listen to yourself you can learn from yourself. You can learn to identify when you are hungry and when you are full. You can learn to identify what you are really hungry for—whether it is hunger for food or for something else. When you learn how to listen to yourself appropriately, and when you have the tools, you can tell—and you only get this from listening to yourself—what tool you need to get you through the spot you are in.

Diets don’t teach us to listen to ourselves. Diets tell us what to do. Diets don’t help you to be in touch with your body or your feelings. They don’t help you learn about your unique individual needs and preferences. The truth is, there is no one truth that works for everybody all the time. Diets, because they externally prescribe a way of eating without considering who we are, actually put us more out of touch with our body, our appetites and our needs. Diets themselves can create a whole tangled web of complications. Lots of people who have dieted for years (and are still struggling with their weight by the way), tell me they no longer have any idea whether they are really hungry or full. They’ve been trying to eat the way someone else told them to for so long, they are out of touch with themselves.

There are ways to overcome emotional eating. And there are ways to lose weight and keep it off. The first step to success is realizing that dieting isn’t one of those ways.

5 Tips To Make Your Next Diet Succeed

Have you been dieting as long as you can remember but you can’t remember a time when you were actually successful? Obviously, none of the diets have workedWonder Slim long term so you are probably looking for something that will also allow you to maintain the results over time so this diet will be your last. There are some really simple things that you can do to make your next diet a long-lasting healthy living nutritional plan rather.

Stop Dieting and Start Changing Your Lifestyle

The best thing you can do is to stop thinking about dieting as a temporary state and start thinking about how you can change your entire lifestyle. When you change your lifestyle so that it represents the sort of life that you want to lead and therefore how you will look and feel, you will be much more successful in losing weight and keeping it off. For instance, if you would like to lose weight by simply stopping to eat candy bars, your diet may not last long. If you change your lifestyle so that you don’t have access to candy bars and you replace your desire for them with something else you will likely be much more successful.

Envision Change

Set goals for yourself and when you do this envision the changes not only in your body but in your mind. The mind really is your most powerful tool, so use it to your advantage. When you think about your life, think about all of the healthy and helpful things that you will be doing and also think about how you will be changing your body. Health expert and author Nordine Zouareg often says, “If you can see it in the screen of your mind, you can have it in the palm of your hand,” and this couldn’t be more true.

Be Realistic

When setting your goals make sure they are something that you can actually visualize. For instance, if you have been heavy all your life and you are five foot four inches tall envisioning yourself as Heidi Klum isn’t going to help you. When you set your goals and you envision changes in your life you need to make sure that you are being realistic.

Appreciation Goes a Long Way

It’s easy to get down on ourselves with our hectic lives. When you are trying to lose weight you will find that it is beneficial to stay positive. Appreciate the things that you do like about your body, even if it’s that you have great hair and everyone compliments your eyes. When you learn to appreciate the positives you are therefore a more positive person and this will translate into energy that you have to give to your new lifestyle and those around you.

Nurture Your Body

Make sure you are eating foods that will give you energy to be the positive and upbeat person that you want to be. Also, pamper yourself in small ways. When you nurture your body you’ll instantly feel better about yourself and you’ll want to continue to meet your goals.

Are You Still On A Diet? Reprogram Your Mind And Change Your Lifestyle!

The beginning of the year is the time when everyone is motivated to make a change and set goals to look better than they looked the previous year. Because theWonder Slim beginning of the year is when many people try to make changes you might find yourself embarked on another diet that you are unable to stick to for more than a couple weeks. Ask yourself if you are like a disproportionate amount of the population that starts a diet they have no intention of sticking with. Then, answer honestly. So many of us get trapped into thinking that it’s all about diet when there is so much more involved in changing how we look on the outside. Diet is just a part of the equation.

Reprogramming Your Mind

If you find yourself on yet another diet you need to stop and think about what you are doing. A diet isn’t the way to go. Instead, you need to change the way you are thinking about your body and your life and make a change to your overall lifestyle. You aren’t going to lose all the weight simply by eating better if it isn’t something that you are willing to embrace wholeheartedly.

A diet is the reason why so many people fail to lose weight or keep the weight off. The term diet indicates that what you are doing is temporary and you are just going to continue to do it until you meet your goal. Yet, if you stop dieting when you reach your goal you will only gain the weight back and you will be left wondering what went wrong.

If you want to change your body the change needs to start in your mind. You literally need to reprogram and reboot your mind so that you start to think about losing weight and getting in shape from the inside out, instead of from the other way around. You don’t have to live the rest of your life eating foods that you hate and you also don’t have to spend three hours a day at the gym. There is a healthy balance; you just have to know how to go about achieving it. If you stop thinking about diet and you start thinking about a change to your overall lifestyle you’ll find that you can achieve the results much more easily and you will also be able to maintain them.

A Helpful Resource

If you are looking for a resource that will truly help you reprogram your mind and learn how you can obtain a healthy lifestyle without the use of a diet like you have come to know them you may want to check out the book Mind Over Body: The Key To Lasting Weight Loss Is All In Your Head! by Nordine Zouareg. This book is all about lasting weight loss and how it really is all in your head. If you can get motivated about something in your mind you can have it in reality and this book will show you how this can realistically be done.

Your Brain Power And Losing Weight

Wonder SlimLosing those excess pounds might be easier said than done, but when you think of it, it really is easy. I have always stressed the importance of right mental attitude when it comes to dieting and exercising in my previous posts, and I will stress it again.

The Power of the Brain

Have you ever heard of the Laws of Attraction? It says that like draws like. In a way, this is what my book talks about. The way you think can affect the way your body reacts and functions. For example, you want to go on a diet, but you only think of the long road ahead of you before you reach your targeted weight goal. Of course, that will affect your weight loss program. Instead of being a fun program, your brain focuses on the negative aspect, and your body, thus, reacts negatively. Now, you only feel the pain of your muscles after exercising and the cravings for your favorite and delicious foods.

Why not change the way you think? Instead of focusing on what you don’t want focus on what you do want. Do you want to be 30 pounds thinner? Then focus on that. Keep that image in the screen of your mind. Live it and breathe it. Let your brain perceive that as the truth so that your body will follow suit and make it easier for you to achieve your goal.

How to Get Started

Like I have said, visualize the goal that you want. If you want to be 30 pounds less, then imagine yourself minus 30 pounds. Let that serve also as your motivation and driving force. Next, you have to learn how to let your brain communicate your goal to your body. One way of doing so is by meditating. Know your “special time” where you can be alone and uninterrupted. This can be done best in a very peaceful environment where you can relax and be calm. Lastly, affirmation is very important if you want to stay on course. You have to repeat to yourself what you want and imagine yourself achieving your goal. In this way, the body adapts and then aligns itself to what your brain is constantly thinking. All things will then fall into place.

Do you now see how much power the brain can have over our bodies? By correctly tuning our brains to the right channel, it will be just a matter of time before we manifest what we truly want.

Lose Belly Fat Now

The first thing that people, who wish to lose weight, think about is reducing their belly fat. It does not matter if you need to lose those extra 15 pounds or a whole lot more. And it is exactly where they all go wrong. This article will explain what the biggest mistake of flat belly seekers is, how to avoid it, and achieve your desirable flat belly.

Belly muscles are designed to give balance and coordination for the body's movements. Constant movement keeps it in shape. People used to walk and move a lot just a few centuries ago. These days most of the people sit all day long at the office and as a result their muscles weaken. At this point they can't support the internal oranges, allowing the abdomen to bulge.

The swelling causes people to seek some drastic action, in order to regain that nice flat belly they start to exercise. This is where people make the biggest mistake in flatting their stomach: they start to workout very hard on their belly muscles and develop nice firm muscles but no one can see them. They are all sunken under a layer of fat. People are walking around with nice strong belly muscles that are actually invisible.

These people can not stop complaining about how hard they work, every day shaping their muscles but no visible results are shown. This is their mistake, their muscles are just fine. The problem is the layer of fat which covers them.

The solution is working on both things at the same time: on one hand work on your belly muscles, in addition you must reduce your fat percentage, Lowering your fat percentage will eventually give you the affect you were looking for the "six-pack" look. It is very important to realize that lowering only belly fat is impossible. You must burn fat with by working and developing a higher muscles mass which will burn more calories even when you rest. Another important aspect is to reduce fattening food consumption.

There is an argument regarding how much and how often should one work on his belly muscles. It depends on you, your time, and how quickly do you want to start shaping your belly. It is recommended to work once in two days for 15 minutes, work real hard the n rest the next day. It is possible to work every day on the belly muscles, contrary to other muscles, but its best to start in this moderate manner and move from there.

This is it the big secret do not expect to find specific exercises, it is not the most important thing the key to win your fight for a flat belly is in the combination of low fat diet and exercises which will end up in a flat belly.
